Kawasaki has launched the Vulcan S in India and priced it at INR 5.44 lakhs. With a 649cc parallel twin motor engine this will be Kawasaki’s first cruiser in India. The motorcycle borrows its liquid-cooled, DOHC, eight-valve, 649cc parallel-twin heart from the Ninja 650, but has been re-tuned for better low-end and mid-range grunt, adhering to its cruising credentials. The bike will only be available in one color, matte black. The Vulcan S features an adjustable ride height of 27.8-inch along with 3-way adjustable foot pegs and adjustable brake and clutch levers. Even the handlebar can be adjusted for reach and can be moved an inch closer if desired. At the launch event, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motor said, “After our sports bikes, tourer bikes, naked bikes & off-road bikes settled in India, we felt it was a right time for us to bring this cruiser in the market. There cannot be a better way to start a new year by introduction of our world-wide known Vulcan brand. FUN TO RIDE is Kawasaki’s global ideology, which perfectly fits to Vulcan S.”
